Pet turf installation in Hacienda Heights and the surrounding area has become extremely popular for several reasons, including the health of your dog (read further for important information on this subject.)

If you are considering installing artificial grass for your pets, choosing the right synthetic turf contractor is the most important decision in the process. Artificial Grass Hacienda Heights has over 14 years’ experience, so we know what pet turf works, what is safe, and what will last. Most importantly, we have the experience to provide unmatched quality in your artificial pet turf product as well as the installation.

Artificial Grass Hacienda Heights has outlived most artificial turf product’s warranties.

Think about that. An installer gives you a one year labor warranty and passes along the manufacturer’s 7,10, or 15 year warranty, and the installer is usually out of business within a few years. Your pet turf has gone bad, you don’t know who the manufacturer is, and your 15 year warranty is basically worthless.

Artificial Grass Hacienda Heights only carries domestic made, engineered pet turf. Our manufacturer is a leader in the industry, they have a local warehouse in Anaheim, and they have a track record of honoring their 15 year warranty. When we give you a proposal, we give you a product data sheet on the pet turf we are supplying so you can do your due diligence, (though the product data sheet itself speaks volumes.)

We do not “Private label” any of our samples. Private labeling means the manufacturer’s tag is removed and the contractor has their own company’s information attached to the samples. This is done to hide the origination of the turf, or to present themselves as more reputable. This works against the homeowner.

Here’s what you need to know about artificial pet turf:
  1. Only use “engineered pet turf”, not pet friendly turf. Engineered pet turf is specifically made the handle the wear and tear from your dogs and almost always will fail in 3-5 years. All other synthetic turf can be considered “pet friendly”, meaning it won’t harm your dog but it will start to smell, leading us to:
  2. Odor is a major problem with “pet friendly” pet turf”. Our engineered pet turf has a low pile, meaning the blades of the turf are 1” high. This is important because longer pile synthetic turf will capture the urine underneath the blades and will usually start smelling within months.
  3. 1” pile on engineered pet turf also promotes easier cleaning and removal of solid pet waste. Bacteria will begin to form due to captured urine and solid waste. Do you really want to be scrubbing solid waste out of 1 ¾” long artificial grass?
  4. Engineered pet turf has a permeable backing, usually white in color. Permeable backing allows twice the drainage as the regular black backing on most synthetic grass. This is important because it allows the pet urine to drain through the backing and down into the base. “Pet friendly” turf usually has the black backing which captures the urine and begins to smell fairly quickly. This is not healthy for your family or pets!
  5. The 1” low pile turf prevents more active dogs from biting on the turf and ripping it. Face it, some dog, especially larger dogs, can be playfully active but destructive. They may love to bite and pull, and long pile, “pet friendly” turf gives them the perfect opportunity to do so.
  6. Mud and dirt, especially during these recent heavy rains, is a huge motivator for people installing pet turf. This is one of the biggest complaints from our clients, especially if they have multiple dogs. With our engineered pet turf, they no longer have mud and dirt being tracked into the house and living quarters.
  7. 70% of cancer in dogs has been attributed to backyard maintenance products. This is probably one of the most important features of pet turf. Most mature people can remember their furry family members usually passed due to old, age and natural causes. Today, we are having to euthanize too many pet due to cancer. These same chemicals that are causing cancer in your pets are being tracked into the house. These chemicals are being found in carpeting, furniture, and bedding, exposing your family to these toxins.
